My research revolves around molecular interaction between nutrients and contaminants, mainly in cell models. Additionally, I am also involved in the surveillance of contaminants in farmed fish.

I obtained my ph.D from the University of Bergen in molecular biology, with emphasis on toxicology. On a daily basis I research the molecular interactions between nutrients and toxicants in cell model systems. Currently I am mainly investigating the impact of marine omega 3 fatty acids on methylmercury toxicity.

Additionally I am involved in the surveillance of contaminants in farmed fish, mainly in farmed salmon.
